The night before Jack turned three...
"Thank you for my fam-ill-ee and this wun-da-ful day. I love it! Amen."It had been a great day- the Sande kids were over until about 2 or 3, then we loaded up and headed to the coast. At the Chowder Bowl, after our drinks were delivered, Jack said he wanted to make a toast. To see my baby showing genuine gratitude for things so simple as a lovely day together filled me with joy.
That night we watched Astro Boy together- Jack was a champ and stayed awake for the entire movie, we could hardly settle him down to sleep.
The next day Jack opened gifts in bed, went to breakfast with Daddy while I tried to get my strength back (Charlotte woke every 50 min during the night and my strep throat came back that night... I was hurting).
We hit the beach with our huge kite.
Jack fell asleep in the car afterwards, he was so exhausted! Next up was lunch at Gallucci's.
The first photo was taken when Jack was 5 months old in the same photo booth!
This year we let Jack pick out his birthday book... He chose three: Pinocchio, The Lion King, and How Many Kisses Do You Want?
We got Jack a cone, and Jordon read him part of the Lion King book.
Then we made a quick stop at Devil's Lake Park.
Finally, we loaded the car once more to head to the Bellenghi's house for the night.
And as Jack told us, "I'll never be two again."
